I don’t have principles; I evaluate every new situation on its own ground. Principles are limiting since they don’t allow flowing with the dynamic nature of our living. When people pull out principles without arguments I don’t fight it, but they often lose my respect.

With what tools then do you evaluate a new situation ? In mathematics we use theorems and axioms, in logic the rules of inference and logic. In real life we have moral and ethical principals, logic, intution, and experience. To just summarily dismiss principles is to close your mind to part of the useful toolkit for living. Life is not too dynamic for principals, its that principals are too easily ignored for personal gain and simple-minded rationalization. Maybe you mean changing tactics ? Think of principals as part of setting the guiding strategies for life (part of goal definition) and keep your tactics flexible :-)

In other words, put on a freakin' fish tie for class, and wow them with some real innovative thinking. Then when your in the position to do so make a rule that says: "Ties Optional". While your at it ... bowties should be downright illegal.
